Question: Child insomnia?I have an almost 11 year old daughter a couple of times a week she can't get to sleep any suggestions?
Answer: Sometimes we all have problems sleeping for no reason, there is a technique I've used and it helps, tell your daughter to lay down in bed close her eyes normally, then tighten her arms for a few seconds and relax, then her stomach, and last her legs, relaxing after each, this can take the tension out of her body and relax her to sleep.Try warm milk. Milk has tryptophan, that can help with sleep as does turkey.Speak to your daughter, she may be having problems or worried about a test in school. She may tell you nothing wrong at first, but hopefully, she will open up to you, don't press her, it might really be nothing
