Question: What are some alternative treatments for sleep apnea?I was diagnosed with a mild form of sleep apnea. I have tried a CPAP machine and couldn't adjust to it. My doctor said I wouldn't be a good candidate for surgery. I'm considering a dental device (mouth piece), but wanted to know if there are alternative methods.
Answer: Have you ever meditated? Thats very relaxing. Get a sound machiene that has crickets or the ocean. Mabie thatll help too. Get on a scheduale. Wake up and get to bed at the same time.A dental device is about all that is left. I use this one: http://www.britishsnoring.co.uk/shop/mou... Watch the video. It takes about 2 weeks to get used to. After that, I feel funny if I don't have it in.Im very open to alternative things, but I don't really see any alternatives to this. The best I could offer is some sort of intranasal or extranasal device (ie breathe right nasal strips) or tonsilliar removal or snore spray.
