Question: Is it insomnia or something else? Will this ever change? My problem is not so much insomnia, but the fact that no matter when I go to sleep, no matter how sleep deprived I am, no matter what sleeping pill I might take my body is the most alert about 11PM and wants to sleep at 4-6 AM and wake up in the afternoon around 2PM Its not that I need more than 8 or 9 hours of sleep. It's more like my body is hard-wired to those times. I've tried melatonin, I've tried ambien, I've tried rozerem. While the ambien works, its short term and addictive. Even with the ambien I still find myself wanting to sleep until about 2 PM if I don't have plans the next day. What is wrong with body? Is there something off with my circadian rhythms? Why doesn't my body feel tired at dark and awake when it's light out like everyone else?
Answer: Mineral imbalances are often the answer. The big 3:PotassiumCalciumMagnesiumRead my other post regarding this. I have shared this info with so many people, one who couldn't sleep and stay asleep, and after the FIRST night, it was like a new life for her!Your body knows what to do with GOOD nutrition. Most people eat junk, and it's no wonder there's so much illness around.Or you could wait until every ailment on earth is swept up by the big drug companies and you have no choice but to drug it all up.Read Kevin Trudeau's books -- the MAIN reason he's being ridiculed is because his info is a threat to those with big drug money. If it weren't, they'd leave him alone. He's one of the few with the courage to tell you as I am -- you CAN live a better without drugs, unless it's a SERIOUS condition. I'm not a doctor, just a smart man looking out for my own health, and if I can share the knowledge, then great.Look for that post on magnesium and minerals and let me know how you do.There are also some who use light therapy to reset the sleep clock.
