Question: Any tips for stopping insomnia/ sleeping better at night?okay, so i don't exactly have insomnia, but i always have difficulty sleeping. At night, i really wanna go to bed, but my mind keeps racing and i always fail to sleep within an hour of going to bed!! I really need more sleep, i always end up getting sleepy during class.....please help!!and i think its because i always think about a lot of stuff at night, even ramdom things i dont even think about at all during the day. help me please???? i really need my nine hours of sleep!!!



Answer: I used to have that really bad too. I wouldn't fall asleep for at least an hour! also, counting sheep doesnt work! what i used to do was play a little game. its where u keep your eyes open as long as possible and stare at the wall. pretty soon your eyelids get heavy and you need to sleep because ur brain gets so bored. also, what i found was that a sheet on my bed wasn't enough so on top of my matress i have a quilt then my sheet. It makes the matress feel softer. I also bought a body pillow it helps SO MUCH! also, milk helps warm or cold, and dont have cheese right before bed or other fatty foods cause it can give you nightmares and keep you awake longer. I also have lots of pillows and stuff in my room to help me get to sleep.I used to find that when I went to sleep, I wasn't fully tired so i would just sit there for an hour and think. That didn't help cause sometimes i'd worry about things and not get to sleep AT ALL! try reading a boring book before bed. no really!! it works. my grandpa bought me a book about a road in calgary.Yes, I did say a road in calgary! BO-RING! it would make me fall asleep when I read it in class! so why don't you try that?
