Question: Does anybody know of a natural sleep aid?I am 31 years old and have trouble going to sleep. I also have high blood pressure.
Answer: My personal fave is peppermint tea (has no caffeine) with milk and a little sugar. If you use loose tea, you could put a small amount of catnip in with the peppermint. It's harmless to humans, and helps to relax you.Other than that, having an established routine, using the bedroom only for sleeping and sex, making sure the room is as dark and quiet as possible (use earplugs and a facemask, if necessary) and having good comfy sheets, pillows and blankets all go a long way toward making it easier to get to sleep. Also, don't let yourself toss and turn. If you lay down, and stay awake fore more than 10-15 minutes, get up and do something else until you're tired, then lay down and try again.
