Question: Sleep apnea pillar surgery ?Has anyone had this procedure done?was it helpful?Painful?
Answer: The problem with surgery for sleep apnea in adults is that there are many places in your upper airway that may be responsible for the obstruction at night, but not all of them are easily surgically accessible. If your soft palate is the problem in your sleep apnea then the pillar procedure may very well help you. It is pretty quick and easy, and pain should be minimal. However, although it is an excellent surgery, there is no 100% guarantee that this will definitively cure your sleep apnea.
