Question: Sleeping Disorder? Since I was three years old, I've had these incidents where I slowly become...?paralyzed, and I can hear everything going on around me, but I can't move, no matter how hard I try. I believe I'm in a form of sleeping, but it feels so close to the waking world. When I was little , something would come into my room. or something would be happening.Sometimes the bed would shake from side to side really hard. (i know that doesn't actually happen) but that's the feeling.I just had two incidences tonight. I always struggle to get free, when i become paralyzed as soon as i can. i can also see what's around me.So, am i the only one?What is this, some kind of sleep disorder?Does insurance cover sleep clinics?I've always had trouble sleeping and only get 4 hours a night if i'm lucky. I can't even fall asleep in strange places, so I don't even know if a clinic would help.but i would really like to know what this is. if anyone else has ever heard of this, please tell me what it is and that i'm not crazy.
Answer: I've had dreams where, when I fall asleep, I 'dream' I am lying in the exact place I was before and I can't move. I can't scream or anything. And the dreams suck bad.. it feels like I'm there forever before I break free and wake up.**Also, the frequency of these dreams has lessened considerably over the years and I haven't had one in a LOOONNG time. Hopefully I won't cause they are a bit freaky.
