Question: During the day I just drop off in a sleep for 3-4 minutes then wake up. What is this called?I know that there is a name for this sleeping disorder, but I can't remember it. Would I see a specialist dr. about this? I'm a 50 yr old retired female with Parkinson's Disease.
Answer: Sleep Apnea- it's when u feel normal and tjen all the sudden u just fall alsleep for no reason. I have alot of patients with this disorder and it is treatable. Go to your regular M.D. and he willl give u a referrral unless he knows enough about the disorder to prescribe the right medicine. Hope u take my advice please hon.
