Question: Have you ever given your child a sleeping pill because you need quiet time?I never did this, but I heard a story about a woman who gave their kids sleeping pills on road trips to keep them "quiet." I consider this abuse. Do people actually do this???
Answer: Yes people actually do this. They are lucky if the child survives as an adult sleeping pill can kill a child. Yes it is abuse. When My kids were loud my mom would say "They are overtired give them an asprin" Maybe this is why I am such an advocate for children. My mom was one of those who would drug the kids to "calm" them down.
