Question: What could be the reasons that one can miss her period aside from pregnancy?My wife is breastfeeding my 4-month-old son and her period is late. It's much appreciated if you could give me any info. you have about Gravol and its side effects.She is only 24 and very very healthy and I don't want her to go on heavy sleeping pills which their chemicals usually and actually always make you addicted and cause mental health difficulties. The fact of the matter is that I don't trust her family doctor, because during her pregnancy once she opened up and dicussed her problem with her doctor but instead she recommended I give her prozac which can cause serious anxiety problems and can ruin your life for good.
Answer: 1st, I don't know anything about Gravol, so I can't help you there.2nd- Your wife probably hasn't gotten her period due to the fact that she is breast feeding. Breast feeding acts as a type of birth control. In other words, it is a defense mechanism in the woman's body to help prevent her from getting pregnant while she is nursing a baby. Not in all cases though. When I was pregnant, I breast fed for 5 months and did not have my period the whole time. It took another 1 1/2 months after I stopped to actually start again. I wouldn't worry too much about her not having her period while she is breast feeding.If you think that she is getting addicted to Gravol, I would definitely try and get her back in to see her doctor.
